High Plough Shear Mixers
Process
These mixers operate on the hurling and whirling principle. Plough shear mixers rotate with minimum clearance from the walls in a horizontal cylindrical container. The peripheral speed and geometric shape of the ploughs insure that the product is whirled from the product bed into the free mixing zone and acting against the centrifugal force, lifting the product from the drum wall. The resultant mechanical turbulence causes intensive mixing process of the entire product quality, even through puts are high and retention time short.
Wherever required additional choppers are Provided in the drum to disperse lumps or to promote agglomeration. The high speed choppers are driven separately.
